Fly Fishing

Humans have journeyed across these islands for millennia: first the Mesolithic people looking for new hunting grounds; then the Celts for grazing; later the Norse for riches and deer; then the Clansmen herding their cattle to the summer pastures.  All would have had to feed themselves en route, finding plants, bounty from the sea, and of course the brown trout in the lochs.  Now, in collaboration with Bison Bushcraft, we are giving you the chance to follow in their ancient footsteps.

You may simply like the idea of catching and eating your own food.  You may have your own trials and challenges to face.  Join us on this voyage of discovery to replicate a journey that is not only physical, mental and spiritual but also challenging, joyous and celebratory.  You will experience true wilderness; discover latent skills and the fascination of stalking and catching wild brown trout in the far hills - accessible only by foot; make your home in caves which have sheltered travellers like yourself for thousands of years.

Food, fly rods and tackle are provided and you will have the chance to make your own hill stick from found hazel and antler.

Five days, four nights in the field with the final night and meal in Port Charlotte.
