You will look for and forage for wilderness food, and be presented with something wild and fresh to cook using ingenunity and skills learned from the practical teaching that I will give you. Learning fire husbandry we will make a delicious meal in the wilderness .......nom nom! Delicious!

Biking Bushcraft Maintenance
Interested in learning about how to and make field repairs to your bike?
Bike shops are really good but have ALL the tools, often times unless you have serious back up then it is up to you to fix your bike en route....
I teach you how to do just that, building confidence and knowledge at the sametime.
It will cover:
Tools
What do I really need?
Problem solving
What is that noise and is it worth worrying about?

How to solve problems in the field?
We have an excellent workshop and can point you in the direction of some truly magnificent acommodation to suit every purse. if you wish to camp or stay in the Youth Hostel it is included in the price. We can even supply the tent!
If you wish this just to be a day or up to three then there is a choice. You may even wish to attach it to Biking Bushcraft or Wheels and Wings.

Touring Skills and Campcraft
Touring is fantastic. You're out in the nature with your bike – You can fly through glens and valleys and stop when you like. In the past we used to 'drum-up' and spend time to just listen, explore, nature watch and just plainly be. Occasionally we would 'bivvi' up.
It's with a tinge of regret that you turn and head for home..... admit it – you're tempted to stay!
Could you cope? Would you know what to do, when, how, where – and why?
In a unique combination - offered for the first time in the UK - we lead you on a wild biking experience in a remote, challenging and magnificent landscape and teach you the survival and risk management skills you need to prolong your trips - taking your cycling adventures onto an entirely different level.
This is an entirely practical course. You will be sleeping in lightweight tents or caves and learning at your own pace, through hands-on experience, the lifelong skills of wilderness living and expedition planning:
* choosing the correct equipment
* identifying hazardous situations
* making sensible decisions
* finding safe water
* using cutting tools
* finding or building a shelter
* making and fuelling fire
* creating a cooking area and fuelling yourself
* emergency repairs
* living from the land
All you need is a bike and you sleeping bag/mat.
